Citizens of the Pond

Citizens of the Pond is a loosely organized guild for ducks. Ducks teach each other how to fish and swim, and how to hear when dangerous people approach, so that they can hide from them.

The Duck race
General description:
  Ducks are humanoids that vaguely resemble humans in their appearance,
  but their build is lighter, their face is shaped oddly, and they have
  beaks and feathers. It has been said that they are the final stage of
  evolution in the birds. But this is said mostly by those who think that
  humanoid shape equals intelligence. On the ecology of ducks, it is said
  that they prefer to live near rivers and lakes. They like swimming, and
  quite many of them feel adventurous. It's not totally unheard of that
  a duck would earn its living as an acrobat or clown, or in rare cases
  even a bandit, but most ducks follow the path of magic and thanks
  to their superior intellect ducks make one of the best spellcasters
  and are always welcome in parties that need that particular form of art.

Other features:
They regenerate damage very slowly. They regenerate magic points very fast.
They are superior beings and therefore need more experience points. They adapt
well to the most complicated skills. Even the most difficult arcane powers can
be mastered by them. They can fly above water. They are sensitive to their
surroundings. They have a faster than normal heart beat. They have good
vision.

Duck Racial Emotions


Ducks have the following racial emotions: beak, disco, feet, plumage, preen, quack and tryfly.
They can be used by typing duck <command>.


duck beak
You clok your beak loudly.

duck disco
You do the disco duck. Somehow you are very good at it.

duck feet
You admire your big flat feet.

duck plumage presence
You show your plumage to Presence who gasps in astonishment.

duck preen
You haughtily preen your feathers.

duck quack
You quack loudly.

duck tryfly
You jump up in the air and flap your wings.
